My kitchen is decades old. There are no fancy counter tops or sinks or faucets. A glass-ceramic stove-top - no gas stove . No All-Clad.  No Vitamix. Some things one can manage without. And then there are the (my) essentials. This kitchen tool-set was accumulated over time, so a new cook need not rush out and get everything at once.  They are not pre-requisites to cooking and finding kitchen bliss.
