Crème Brûlée demands two things - ramekins and a pan to set them in for the "water bath" baking technique.

This set makes it all so easy. The ramekins sit in a rack that keeps the bottom of the ramekins off the pan (thus avoiding bottom burning and uneven baking).

I own two of these since my usual Crème Brûlée recipe makes eight servings.

If you have ramekins already, the water bath can be created with any pan. Good idea to put a dishtowel at the bottom of the pan - yes, it gets soaking wet, but it promotes even baking and prevents burning.

A set like this can be purchased at a good kitchen supply store, or online from Amazon.
